Ingredient Breakdown

nutrachamps calmsense ingredients

Ashwagandha Root (200mg)

Across India, the ashwagandha root is referred to as the “strength of the stallion” due to its noticeable immune-boosting properties. Ashwagandha is a type of medicinal Ayurvedic herb which has been used by many to reduce anxiety and stress, improve cognitive function, and support a healthy metabolism for more than three thousand years.

Ashwagandha works to improve your stress response by preventing your body from releasing too much cortisol. Cortisol is one of the body’s stress hormones that is released by the adrenal glands in response to an acute stressor.

If these levels become too high, then they can contribute to many health problems including inflammation, anxiety, gut aliments, headaches, and even chronic disease. Ashwagandha can help keep your cortisol levels at a healthy level.

However, most studies we found used at-least 300 mg of Ashwagandha to see improved markers of stress reduction – such as lower cortisol levels. It is not clear that at this dosage (200-mg), it will have the same effect.

Rhodiola Rosea Extract (200mg)

Several cultures have used extracts of Rhodiola Rosea to treat the symptoms of fatigue, depression, and anxiety for thousands of years. This herb grows in the mountainous regions of Asia and Europe and contains roughly 140 active ingredients, including rosavin and salidroside.

Rhodiola has been recognized as an adaptogen for centuries. This is a natural substance that improved the body’s resistance to stress. Multiple studies have found that Rhodiola causes significant improvements in stress and anxiety, many seeing an effect after just a few days of taking it. Furthermore, studies have also highlighted its usefulness regarding fatigue. In these studies a significant improvement in attention and fatigue levels were identified only days after consumption.

‘Calming Herbal Blend’ (500mg)

This blend is made up of a mix of several soothing herbs; passionflower extract, lemon balm extract, hops extract, chamomile extract, and hawthorn berry.

We usual advice against any supplement that mentions a ‘herbal blend’, due to the risk of hidden, and potentially harmful ingredients. Calmsense are transparent about what ingredients are in their herbal blend, but with so many components and no indication of how much of each ingredient is in the herbal blend, it is impossible to determine whether it is a beneficial addition to this supplement.

Magnesium (25mg)

Magnesium is an essential mineral commonly used in pharmaceuticals to calm the nervous system, reduce anxiety symptoms, and improve sleep. Although magnesium can come in multiple forms, magnesium glycinate is the form used in CalmSense. Magnesium glycinate is significantly more absorbable, and there is a reduced risk of it acting as a laxative, unlike some of its other forms.

Magnesium is used in the body to regulate our stress-response system. Many studies have shown that increasing your magnesium intake can reduce anxiety symptoms, ease daily stress, and reduce our response to fear.

However, 25 mg is a very low dose of magnesium, considering that the daily recommended intake is 400–420 mg per day for men and 310–320 mg per day for women.

Vitamin B6, as Pyridoxine HCl (20mg)

Vitamin B6 is widely used as a means to improve your mood and reduce symptoms of depression. It is vital in achieving healthy brain development and ensuring that both the nervous system and immune system are kept healthy. It has also been proven to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s in multiple studies due to its ability to promote brain health.

Additional Ingredients

Other ingredients used in CalmSense’s production include 15mg Thiamin (Vitamin B1), 15mg Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), 30mg Niacin, 20mg Pantothenic acid, 25mg Zinc, and 200mg Bacopa Monnieri.

Price and Value for Money

One bottle of CalmSense contains 60 capsule pills. This will cost you $20.97 (translating to £15.34). However, certain websites that currently stock CalmSense offer several worthwhile bulks buy deals or/and subscribe and save offers.  This price means that the cost of CalmSense pills comes to $0.67 (£0.51) per day.

CalmSense Review Conclusion

Several advantages are associated with the CalmSense supplement, and there are many positive reviews from people who have found relief with this supplement. However, with low doses of some ingredients and a questionable herbal blend, perhaps your money is best spent elsewhere.

Pros

  • Some ingredients will work
  • Easy to Use as CalmSense is in an easily ingestible capsule form.
  • Rich in all-natural and vegan-friendly ingredients.

Cons

  • Some of the ingredients used only come in low doses, such as key ingredients magnesium and ashwagandha.
  • The herbal blend (included in the ingredient list) consists of many ingredients. This could make it harder for the body to break down.
  • Better options exist

You can find CalmSense on the Nutra Champs website and many more important supplier sites, such as Amazon, Ebay, and Walmart.
